Little butterfly
I sat in my garden
And this little butterfly caught my eye
It must have been
The prettiest little butterfly
I have ever seen
And then he took off
For no one to know whereto
Could’ve been anywhere
For careless little butterfly
Can go anywhere he pleases
Even the most lovely places of them all
Please little butterfly
Learn me how to be careless and free
Tell me all of your secrets
Teach me everything about love and happiness
I would go with you if I could..

I spent a lot of time as a child mistaking butterflies for fairies.
Your poem reminded me of my childhood imagination.
Thanks,
